Isis had her feeding today after a very, very short shed cycle. I gave her her fist live mouse (since she was w/ me) and she was quite happy. I got him from petco. He was gonna be a breeder but he just wasn't healthy. I've been feeding live even more now. I don't mind it as much as I thought I would.

I'm wondering, dos the snake cruch the bons, I watcht my cat eat a mouse one time, end she eat it like it was a potato-chip, in one beit and then a lot of crunching hehe

They stop the heart and suffocate it. When the mouse exhales, the snake tightens so the mouse can't take in another breath. They also effectively stop the heart at the same time. It's really sort of cool.

Oh and then they keep tightening until the mouse no longer moves and dies. So really, there isn't any bone crunching.

your snake is beautiful! i recently aquired a ball python and she looks simlar to yours... i feed her only live right now and i find it absolutly interesting on how they "hunt" and kill and eat their prey im glad you were able to get it in pictures ... my snake wont let me take any good pictures of her lol

She will. I would switch her over to either pre-killed or frozen/thawed, though, it's a lot safer for them. Some of my animals still eat live b/c I can't get them to switch over but mine are almost all on pre-killed or even frozen thawed. Good luck with her, though! :)

And thanks for the nice comment
